Riverside Hotel
Charm meets state-of-the-art functionality at the Riverside Hotel. From the bustle of downtown to the serenity of the New River, our event spaces reflect our unique surroundings. The Wells brothers, Preston and John built the hotel in 1936 and named it Champ Carr. After Champ Carr steps down in 1947 as general manager, the hotel was renamed the Riverside Hotel. The hotel is still fourth generation family owned.
Our guests are just steps away from top restaurants, bars and art galleries. Several of Fort Lauderdale’s trendiest spots can be found right in the Hotel. Indulge in award-winning meals at Wild Sea Oyster Bar & Grille, which overlooks the boulevard, or visit the Boathouse at the Riverside, the ultimate waterfront dining
experience that joins worlds of boaters and diners on the New River. One can always relax with a creative cocktail at the Golden Lyon or Preston’s Wine & Martini Lounge located inside the hotel.
Discover why we have been the heart of Las Olas Boulevard for over 80 years nestled between Las Olas Boulevard
and the New River.
