Belleview Biltmore Resort & Spa

Clearwater, FL

Located in the pristine community of Belleair, the Belleview Biltmore Resort and Spa is celebrating its 105th year of existence in 2002. The resort is located just 35 minutes from Tampa International Airport and 20 minutes from St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport.

The Belleview is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a very unique hotel with a lot of history and charm. Originally built by railroad magnate Henry Plant, the hotel opened in 1897 and was a popular retreat location for celebrities, industrial barons and international dignitaries.

Over the many years, the hotel has had several owners and at one point was owned by an Asian company. You will recognize this influence only in the new lobby which was built in the mid 90s, sitting on what used to be the back of the property. Otherwise, the Biltmore has been preserved and offers a true turn-of-the-century style.

The hotel has 246 guest rooms including 6 parlor suites and a 3,400 square foot presidential suite. The rooms are decorated in very traditional colors and styles that mirror the historical significance of the property. All rooms feature coffee makers and hair dryers.

The hotel has outstanding meeting space. Their largest ballroom is 13,000 square feet with 30' ceilings. They feature several other meeting rooms with unique features including the Starlight room which is actually a Theatre with a permanent stage, 22' ceilings that have very small twinkle lights giving the appearance of a dark sky filled with stars. The hotel an Amphitheatre that can accommodate 80 people on tiered levels in high back swivel chairs. Their total combined space is over 30,000 square feet total which means they have the ability to accommodate space intensive groups.
The Belleview Biltmore has a semi-private golf course that is owned by the hotel, which guarantees group advance tee times at competitive pricing. It has undergone a major renovation complete with rebuilt greens and tee boxes, new drainage and irrigation and new cart paths.

The "Belleview Biltmore Spa" at the Belleview is wonderful. This is a full service spa with an array of body treatments, skin care, massage, and hair and nail services. There is an indoor heated pool, whirlpool, saunas and workout center. For additional recreation the hotel has red clay tennis courts, a very large outdoor pool, children’s playground and sand volleyball courts.

The hotel has a café serving 3 meals a day, a pool bar and a lobby lounge. Additional dining options off property would require a cab ride or you can take the free shuttle to Clearwater Beach where there are several different dining and shopping options (about 4 miles from the hotel).

The Belleview Biltmore offers competitive group room rates. Their high season is mid January-Easter, with low season being June through September and December.
