DMI’s hotel partners are primarily independent properties that do not have National Sales Offices of their own. Much like our DMCs, these companies retain DMI for hotel representation and marketing services to supplement their own on-property sales and marketing efforts. DMI accomplishes this by performing a variety of marketing services including direct sales calls, tradeshow participation, solicitation efforts, incentive travel research and lead generation. These direct sales efforts are coupled with cooperative sales and marketing campaigns organized by DMI and then cost-shared equally among participating partners. Examples include our annual client golf tournament and sponsorship of several industry-related events. DMI also organizes a partner referral program that allows our hotels, DMCs and CVBs to exchange leads and referrals with one another in a non-competitive environment.
DMI is a National Sales Office for a collection of Hotels, DMCs and CVBs, both domestic and international. DMI operates as an extension to our partner Hotels, DMCs and CVBs’ on-property sales forces. Founded in 1998 by John Gaca, who serves as President, DMI has experienced tremendous growth and success. Through this growth process, DMI has added staff continuously in order to maintain a staff to partner ratio of six to one.
